“Trio World Academy and Stonehill International School offer students a chance to immerse in an educative and fun French experience”
Monday, March 21, 2016: Trio World Academy and Stonehill International School jointly organized Francophonie, a day long event recently. The event was a complete French experience where the students celebrated the French language and culture by participating in French language grammar and vocabulary games organized at the event and performing spectacular French music.
Francophonie comprised of events highlighting the French cinema, French cuisine and general knowledge related to French and francophone countries. The sub-events were spread across 10 different categories touching upon the myriad cultural extravaganzas of the Francophene terrain.
In all these categories with over 100 participants from Grades 6 to 12, including native French students, Trio French students bagged the 1st and 2nd places.
The day was furbished further with French performances by the students. Trio French students of Grades 8 & 9 presented a dance to the French song "Papa où t'es" by a Belgian francophone singer Stromae. This added to charm of the singing performance by Grades 6 to 9 who sang the song "Les enfants de la Terre" (The children of the World) written and composed by Jean-Pierre Nicolaï and Jean-Philippe Prévitéra.
The closure of the day was festive and delectable as the participants enjoyed a French meal which was enriched with a delicious platter including croissants, pain aux raisins, pain au chocolat, cookies, and more the Café Noir stand during the event!
