Like every year, this year too one of the popular Business School, New Delhi Institute of Management, Tughlakabad, organized its annual Fest – Spandan (Vibrations) on a grand scale. Professional Colleges and institutes from right across the country participated in this big event. The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Various competitions organized under Spandan provided a platform for the established business leaders to exchange their knowledge and innovative ideas along with a large dosage of entertainment.The 3-day programme included Street- play, Rockband competition, Best Manager Challenge, a dramatised version of the volatility of the share market along with Fashion show, Wall Graffiti, Quizzes and many other programmes which provided an opportunity to the students to display their mental abilities and talents. The students also made the participants aware of burning issues related to global warming and its effects on society and people’s life style.The creative use of unwanted, thrown away stuff to create new decorative patterns and works of art was one of the highlights of the Fest. The students displayed their talents though solo singing and rangoli.The last day of the programme was organized at JawaharLal Nehru Stadium where MrJaved Ali, the famous Bollywood singer was the star attraction. Students thronged to the Stadium in large numbers, and while listening to his best and beautiful songs, the students danced non-stop to create a magic-like atmosphere. Spandan was concluded with the winning teams receiving prizes and Certificates.
