Thursday, 13th March, 2016: Celebrating the spirit of Womanhood as part of Women’s Day celebrations, the staff at Sankara delved into a jovial spirit as they bathed in the mirth of the occasion. An invite was extended to the female members of the staff’s family to join the event held in commemoration of Women’s Day. The event that was dedicated to celebrate the integral role of women, included performances by the staff members, quizzes and various games for the members of the staff and their families. The victorious participants were awarded and as the evening culminated, the women present enjoyed a captivating mix of music.

Every year on the eve of Women’s Day Sankara organizes unique events exclusively for all its women staff members. This year Sankara extended the special invitation to other family members of the staff. The mothers, daughters and kin of the women employees enjoyed a wonderful evening planned just for them, they also go to witness professional significance of the woman related to them.


Empowerment of women is the requisite of the time and it is imperative that one sets the stone for it in their own homes. By witnessing first hand the place of work and the importance of a woman in a professional sphere, one can strike a chord with the young and the old alike to get into the same frequency. This will allow them to understand the need for education and a career further in their lives or that of their kin.
