Pluss
Company Profile
Introducing the concept of timely medicine delivery at one’s doorstep, Pluss is an on-demand delivery service for healthcare, medical and wellness needs. Featuring four primary product categories – Baby Care, Pet care, Personal Wellness and Daily Essentials, Pluss allows the users to place orders through calls, WhatsApp or the Pluss website.
Based out of Delhi, Pluss was incorporated in 2015 by Atit Jain, Madhulika Pandey and Tarun Lawadia after witnessing the country's largely unorganized health care industry, which otherwise is worth billions of dollars. In a country where everything, including groceries and food, is delivered at the doorstep in a short span of time, the problem of timely medicine delivery remained unsolved. Apart from over-the-counter medicines and wellness/baby-care/personal care products, the trio wanted to emphasise primarily on prescribed medicines and pro-active refills. They devised a quick and handy method for ordering medicines in three steps: ‘Clicking a photo of the prescription', ‘Selecting individual medicines to be ordered' and ‘Placing the order'. Pluss eases the ordering and the speed of delivery of medicines by partnering with many licensed pharmacies providing the medicines as and when ordered. The  revenue is generated by charging its partner pharmacies a percentage of every order they get through the app. Bearing in mind that medicines belong to the immediate requirement category, Pluss delivers the medicines within 1 day with the help of its own fleet of 50 delivery workers called ‘Pluss Men'.
Boasting of an impressive list of investors that include Snapdeal's co-founders Rohit Bansal & Kunal Bahl, Indian Dream Capital and Rajesh Sawhney of GSF, Narendra Singh Rawat, TA Venture Holding Limited, Roshan Abbas, and Anand Chandrasekaran, Pluss aims to expand to more than five cities by the end of 2015. Also, they will soon be adding Medical Tests and Surgical Equipment in their product categories. In the long run, the company envisions being the biggest and India's no. 1 in the healthcare sector with medicine delivery as a part of the wide range of services they are set to offer.
