NAGPUR(March. 14, 2016) MoneyGram (NASDAQ: MGI), an official sponsor of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20, gave cricket fans a chance to see the tournament live in India by participating in the MoneyGram Bowling Challenge in cities across the country.

The bowling challenge was opened to fans in more than 50 cities. In some locations fans had the opportunity to meet their cricket icons and interact with them. In each city the bowler with the fastest delivery won match tickets to the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 and received cash prizes.

MoneyGram International recently announced it has agreed to continue its sponsorship of the International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments for an additional eight years, through the year 2023. The new agreement marks an extension of MoneyGram’s initial five-year relationship with the ICC that included sponsorship of the 2011 and 2015 World Cup tournaments.
There were 50 winners of the MoneyGram Bowling Challenge across India. Four of them will witness the India vs NewZealand match at Nagpur on Tuesday, 15th March 2016. These winners include Shubek Singh Gill - 85 mph from Jalandhar (Punjab), Prashant Kumar Singh - 83 mph from Chapra (Bihar), Asif - 79 mph from Malappuram (Kerala) and Ankur Kumar - 78 mph from Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh).
