The IT and Municipal Administration Minister, K.T. Rama Rao has announced Rs. 25 lakh matching grant to the welfare fund created by the Press Club Hyderabad for the welfare of its members consisting of senior journalists.
Mr. Rao announced the grant after releasing the golden jubilee souvenir and the welfare fund cheque at a programme organised at the Press Club premises in Somajiguda. He said the Government was committed to the welfare of journalists and recalled the assurance of the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao in creating a beautiful journalists’ colony in the city.
Advisor to Telangana Government K.V. Ramana Chary, Mr. Navin Mittal I&PR Commissioner ,Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana and IJU secretary general D. Amar also spoke.
Senior journalists who contributed articles to the souvenir were felicitated by the Minister. Club president, R. Ravikanth Reddy presided while; secretary, Rajamouli Chary; Executive Committee Member Duggu Raghu others participated.
