March 31, Mumbai : HDFC Life and Manipal Global conducted a grand convocation to felicitate over 83 graduates from across the country.The students were awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance (PGDI) on successfully completing the program.
The HDFC Life Smart Achievers (SA) Program is a one of its kind Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance offered through a joint initiative between HDFC Life – India’s leading private life insurance company and Manipal Global – India’s leading learning solutions firm. The program not only aims at nurturing well-trained insurance professionals for the industry by imparting domain expertise and skill sets, but also provides excellent and rewarding career opportunities at HDFC Life. HDFC Life SA program trains the students, especially from Tier II and Tier III cities, to make them insurance industry ready and also recruit them as full time professionals.
Speaking at the convocation, Mr Amitabh Chaudhry, MD and CEO, HDFC Life said, “We at HDFC Life want to bridge the gap between unemployed youth especially in Tier 2 and 3 cities by making them job ready and meet the talent demand in the insurance industry. The intensive training and skill building imparted through a robust classroom and on-the-job training in the Smart Achievers Program will help HDFC Life to provide insurance solutions to its potential customers and thereby securing their lives, financially. We are very happy with the positive initial results from the program on the productivity and performance of Smart Achievers and the way they have been contributing to HDFC Life and to our customers as a whole. We intend to scale up this initiative in the near future and hope to make a credible difference to the industry."
