The Industry Meet of 5th edition of the Technical Textile Industries’ flagship event Technotex 2016 gets underway in the midst of Senior Government officials from Government of India, Government of Karnataka, Industry Stalwarts and representatives of various Industry associations and International trade bodies

Bangalore, 28th March 2016:

Industry Meet of Technotex 2016, the 5th edition of the largest international exhibition and conference of the Technical textile industry in India was presided by the Dr. Kavita Gupta, Textile Commissioner, Govt. of India at Bangalore today. The annual event jointly organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has become a flagship platform for the Indian Technical textile industry to showcase its capabilities, strength and opportunities to the global Textile community. 

ThbIndustry Meet of Bangalore began with a short film on Indian Technical Textile Industry and Technotex 2016.

Dr. Kavita Gupta, Textile Commissioner delivered the Inaugural address for the Industry Meet of Technotex 2016. She emphasized on the future initiatives, schemes and environment of encouragement provided by the Govt. of India and Various initiatives and schemes for the development of the Technical Textile Industry.

A Brief on Technotex 2016:

Technotex 2016 would be the largest International Exhibition & Conference of Technical Textiles in India. The annual event, organized jointly by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and FICCI is hosting its 5th edition from April 21-23, 2016 at Mumbai. The event has the support of many Industry associations. The Technical Textile industry is at the threshold of rapid growth with the Government of India providing an atmosphere of support and encouragement. One of the most important objectives behind organizing the Technotex series is to highlight the investment possibilities in the country’s Textile industry. Leading companies from all over the world particularly from China, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Luxembourg, Russia, USA, and South East Asian countries are participating both as exhibitors and visitors. The event would also play host to a galaxy of eminent speakers and leaders from India and abroad.

The theme of the Event is ‘Technical Textiles – Towards a Smart Future ’. Besides showcasing the strength of Indian Technical Textile industry, Technotex 2016, would also serve as major platform for one to one business meetings between foreign and Indian companies, renewing past relations and generating new business such as joint venture
collaborations, technology exchanges, enhancing export and import ties and of course, attracting investment in the Indian industry.

Karnataka has been unanimously chosen as the ‘Partner State’. Major states of India like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and North Eastern States would be Partnering with the event and participating as a partner states showcasing the strengths, Investment opportunities and fruitful models for the Industries.
