Boulevard-the 24-hour coffee shop at the Orchid is celebrating the festival of colors-Holi. An impressive full of colors Holi brunch consisting of saffron thandai (special holi drink), ghewar and other festive food will be laid out by the executive chef. Another attraction for the revelers will be vodka pani puri.
The outlet will decorated with Holi colors. Gulal will be kept on the tables. Traditionally dressed hostess and stewards will welcome and serve the guests.
Holi is the spring festival of the country. The main day, Holi, also known as Dhuli Vandana in Sanskrit, is celebrated by people throwing colored powder and water at each other. Bonfires are lit the day before, also known as Holika Dahan (burning of Holika) or Chhoti Holi (little Holi). The festival is celebrated at the end of the winter season on the last full moon day.
Some of the items on the special Holi spread include Murg Kesariya, Shahi Paneer, Lal Maas, Malai ki chaat etc. The desserts counter consists of Thandai. Thandai ka mousse, Mawe ka cheese cake, Paan ka soufflé, Namak pare, Shakkar pare, Phool makane ki kheer, Ghewar Moong dal ka sheera, etc.
