About Preeti Ghai
Preeti Ghai's collection epitomizes a new kind of sophistication for today's self-conscious woman. "My designs come from my heart as i design each piece to develop a special bond between the girl and her ensemble and every creation should reflect the spirit of time" claims Preeti Ghai. She is perfect in extracting the emotions of Indian culture and combining classicism. Her Journey into creative world was not planned, hailing from a family of professionals, she did Masters in Business Administration but it was her sense for fashion that was winning admiration.
she believes in creating jobs and her motto is to make women self sufficient by providing them with skill and job as she has engaged most of women staff in her production unit. She believes in women empowerment and wanted to contribute by taking this pledge of making women self sufficient. She strongly feels each of us should take this pledge helping women to be more independent and self reliant. Preeti Ghai is associated with many NGOs viz "Bachpan Bachao", "Prayas" to name a few and recently with "Urja" which is a beautiful cause creating light inj the lives of underprivileged by setting up solar plants in remote parts of Maharajganj on the border of Bihar.
Designer Preeti Ghai said, "The collection is not age barred. Any female between the age of 18 years-50 years can wear my collection. I have used rich Indian and French fabric like velvet, brocade, silk, chiffon, Georgette etc. in my collection which can be wore on any occasion. The designs are fine amalgamation of modern with a traditional and regal flavour.”
Preeti Ghai is a recipient of several accolades, she regularly takes part on TV shows on fashion and social issues, she has designed wardrobes of many political, social personalities and Bollywood celebrities like Vidya Balan. Mahima Chaudhary, Magma, Hema Malini, Raveena Tondon, Mennisha Lamba, Neelam Pratap Rudy, Najma Heptulla , late Sunanda Tharur, Miss India Urvashi Routhela and Koyal Ranna to name a few.
