VizExperts empowers the Border Security Force with the infrastructure and software tools for real-time operation planning, enablingfaster and critical decision making.
New Delhi, March 3, 2016: At the farewell parade of Shri DK Pathak, IPS, DG BSF, at Shaheed RK Wadhwa Parade Ground this morning, New Delhi based technology leader, VizExperts was felicitated for developing and deploying the Digital Sand Model System at the BSF Headquarters. The high-tech centralized OPS room was inaugurated by our Honorable Home Minister, Shri. Rajnath Singh, earlier last week.
Digital Sand Model(DSM) is a revolutionary solution developed by VizExperts for operation planning, mission briefing and training, for the Indian paramilitary, police and the armed forces. The integrated solution is built upon the OGC® (Open Geospatial Consortium) certified GeorbIS® 3D GIS platform and includes audio visual hardware, the DSM software, interaction devices, along with the backend GIS database and terrain data for the entire country. Digital Sand Model technology offers improved situational awareness to BSF through integrated, true 3D visualization of terrain data and online data from field formations.
Praveen Bhaniramka, IIT BHU and Ohio State University Graduate and Founder, CEO of VizExperts said “We consider it an honor, to be of assistance to our country’s defence mechanism and keeping our work in line with our Prime Minister’s Make in India programme. It gives us immense pride and a sense of real purpose in what we do. We sincerely thank everyone at BSF, particularly DG BSF Shri Pathak, for giving us this opportunity to serve our nation”
Specifically, as part of the project for BSF, VizExperts has accurately mapped and modelled the complete 3D geospatial database of all the border assets of BSF along the eastern and western theatres, including BP, BOP, Border Fence, BFL and other mobile assets. The project further involved integration of online data from the field formations of BSF, which can now be visualised directly on the geospatial platform for better incident mapping and faster decision making. VizExperts has also developed a scenario generation and 3D visual analytics toolkit for event visualization and operation planning, using high resolution satellite imagery, vector data and elevation data.
“BSF officials congratulated VizExperts for their efforts and contribution. Further they stated that the Digital Sand Model technology along with the OPS Information System deployed at BSF Integrated OPS room by VizExperts, would be very useful for BSF and other forces, for better situational awareness, operation planning and informed decision making.
