Zoya presents an evening of art inspired by Awadh, Banaras and Love

Mumbai: Zoya, exquisite diamond jewellery from the House of Tata, hosted a unique storytelling session with exemplary sand artist Sarvam Patel at their Khar, Linking Road store. The artist displayed his remarkable talent through works of art which were created with sand and inspired by the three magnificent collections of Zoya-the Awadh, Banaras and our signature diamond collection. The event also celebrated diamonds as the most iconic symbol of everlasting love. One of India’s finest athletes, Olympian swimmer and Arjuna Awardee Rehan Poncha was guest of honour at the event.

Zoya’s Awadh draws inspiration from an unforgettable period in Indian history that was a focal point for all that was refined and cosmopolitan. Zoya’s Awadh features both statement and stand-alone pieces. The finest kundan and polki are fitted with stunning enamel work to pay tribute to the style, attire, art and tradition of the historic period. The sand art inspired by the collection celebrated this golden era of Awadh, featuring classic kairi designs and delicate floral work.

Zoya’s Banaras collection played muse for another work of sand art, that drew on eternal images of the world’s oldest city to create uniquely designed, handcrafted  pieces in gold and diamonds, embellished with finely painted enamel. From temple gopurams to a lotus blooming in the sacred waters with glistening dewdrops on its petals; Zoya’s Banaras has striking pieces find inspiration from eternal images of the city.

Zoya’s diamond collection is inspired from Greece and the Naturesque to signify the month of love. The floral colors, the dust pink, reds and rich magentas of the rubies and diamonds showcased and celebrated passionate and timeless love.
