VIDYAMANDIR CLASSES INTRODUCES ‘IDEAL’ PREPARATION SCHEDULE AHEAD OF THE EXAMINATION SEASON

New Delhi, February 07, 2016: Vidyamandir Classes, an exemplary name in IIT-JEE coaching has introduced an ideal study preparation schedule for the students to settle down their nerves ahead of various exams that lie ahead. Coming to the aid for students at this critical juncture, VMC has plans to facilitate the students by providing them previous year’s question papers and an ideal preparation schedule, to excel in the grilling exam season.

These exams include 12th boards, followed by JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSTAT, VITEE, etc. It is pertinent for students to understand the importance of each of the upcoming exams and their bearing on prospective careers.

Solving the question papers:  Beginning from the first week of February, students should start solving one paper per subject every day and devote an extra hour to review their performance. Practicing one paper per day will hone writing skills. The total number of questions will be down to 26, from 30 in previous few years, however one must try to solve previous question papers within the stipulated time of three hours. This will help the student to finish the paper well within time.

Practice Papers & time management: VMC has prepared 10 JEE Mains practice papers, out of which five will also have the solutions.  The students can do one paper on alternate day for three hours and devote one hour for its review. Thus if a student is studying, on an average, of 12 hours per day; on one day he/she will have 8 hours for boards exam study (4 hours for solving and analysing previous year's question paper) and the alternate day 4 hours (with 4 hours devoted to each analysis and solving JEE Mains and previous year's papers for 12th.)

Do’s & Don’ts to be followed: 

 Do’s:

·         A regular 5 to 6 hrs study per day

·         Clear your doubts on a regular basis

·         Do your school homework in the extra time in school itself

·         Refer to NCERT and minimum, relevant, study material

·         Prefer solving questions on a paper with pen

·         Choose a coaching institute near your place to reduce travelling stress & time

·         Check the syllabus from IIT website and study only relevant things

·         Divide the entire course into parts and complete that part in a fixed span of time

·         Complete your entire syllabus at least six months before the board exams so that you  have ample time to revise and handle boards easily

·         Give regular mock tests to check your speed and accuracy

·         Do detailed test analysis after every test

·         Know your strengths and weaknesses topic wise and subject wise

Don’ts

·         Never pile up your doubts

·         Do not refer to many books on a single subject

·         Do not refer irrelevant books by getting fascinated from your peer group

·         Do not devote too much time on a single topic

·         Never give test without a time limit

·         Do not watch too much of TV or internet
