Bangalore, February 24, 2016: Singapore-based JuzKidz Academy, founded by expert educationist and teacher trainer, Denise Chahal has made a foray into India with its maiden tie-up with The Bangalore School to introduce their early education program to preschoolers and educationists of the city. The JuzKidz Academy Preschool Franchise program aims to associate itself with at least 30 schools in the first year of operations in India.
Announcing this at a press conference here today Ms Denise Chahal, Founder and Academic Head, JuzKidz says, “My years of experience in the field of early education has shown me that children increasingly need to be sensitized to the world around them. This includes not only interactions with people, but also with the environment all around them. This program is designed to inculcate, right from a young age, the ability to be productive with complete regard to their surroundings.”
“Our decision to foray into India was because our research showed us that preschools in India are not organized and methodical. They do not have a measurable and auditable program. Juzkidz aims to bring just that into the Indian market”, elaborates Ms Chahal.
The Bangalore School currently has a model classroom and outdoor campus that stands in preparedness for the introduction of the JuzKidz program titled “I am a Citizen of the World” for academic year commencing in June.
Speaking on the tie-up with JuzKidz, Ms Usha Mohan, Director, The Bangalore School says, “Being the first school in India to take up this interesting program, we would like to set a precedence for an early education program that works on multiple facets of a child’s growth. We applaud the fact that the program encourages, a learning relationship not just between educators and students, but also parents and other caretakers, making the education of our children a joint social responsibility”.
Nurturing the Heart, Mind, Body and Soul
With 16 years of experience in the field of early education and teacher training, Denise has conceptualized the unique “I am a Citizen of the World” program that comprises 14 value-added programs that will be infused into a participating school’s curriculum over a 5-year period. This will be done with the help of dedicated trainers who will spend a length of time with the teachers of a school, gradually inculcating in them the processes of the program.
The program focusses on the development of a kind heart, the growth of the spiritual self, the intellectual mind and the physical body. A well-researched mix of influences such as the Maria Montessori Philosophy, Rudolf Steiner’s Waldorf method, Urie Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological System theory, Vygotsky’s Socio-Cultural Theory and John Dewey’s Progressive Education and Child centered approach, the Juzkidz program places equal emphasis on experiential learning as well as nature-based interactions. Time in learning will be spent both in the classroom and outside in Nature as well.

Expansion Plans
Juzkidz is currently in talks to establish its presence in Delhi. The long term plans for the organization are to create a Teacher’s Training School in Bangalore that will work towards structuring, standardizing and imparting quality early education.
“In first academic year of operations, Juzkidz aims to open 15 pre-schools and associate itself with another 15 for the implementation of the JuzKidz Program. This total of 30 schools is expected to provide a turnover of over Rs.1.25 Cr in the academic 2016-17’. In the next academic year, 2017-18’, Juzkidz plans to expand to other Tier 1 cities such as like Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Tier 2 cities, with a focus on capitals of all states,” apprises Ms Chahal.
