ONGC gets green panel approval for Rs. 1,752 crore project in Gujarat

The Centre's green panel has given a approval to the ONGC for its Rs. 1,752-crore project in Gujarat, as per ​a ​media report. These project​s​ involve drilling of 406 development wells in oil fields in Gujarat's Cambay Basin.

The asset currently produces 3,725 tonnes per day crude oil and 5.8 lakh cubic meters (m3) of natural gas on a daily basis.

In addition, the proposed drilling is expected to be undertaken at the company's Ahmedabad asset located in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad and Kheda districts.

On Friday, ONGC board has approved an investment of Rs. 5,050 crore for developing the north-east region. The board also approved an additional investment of Rs. 3104 crore for drilling wells and creating surface facilities to produce 5.1 MMSCMD of gas from Tripura gas fields.
