Zee TV will soon take viewers along on a journey of discovering India’s next singing sensation as the latest season of the most definitive platform for singing - Sa Re Ga Ma Pa premieres right after the end of its top-rated non-fiction show, India’s Best Dramebaaz. The show that has been instrumental in introducing the country to some of its demigods of music - Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Shekhar Ravjiani, Bela Shende, Sanjivani and Kamal Khan over the last two decades, returns after a hiatus of three years. The upcoming season promises to be younger and edgier than ever before as the talent scouts have scaled the length and breadth of the country to unearth the most unique voices that have a distinct, contemporary appeal – voices of tomorrow. The show will be hosted by the popular, multi-talented singer-actor Aditya Narayan. The latest buzz on the show is that for the very first time, popular singer, composer, performer, songwriter and rock star Mika Singh will join the panel of judges.
Speaking on his association with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Mika says, “I’m excited to be associated with the most renowned singing platform on Indian television since 1995. This prestigious platform of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is a beacon of hope, giving thousands of aspiring singers an avenue to exhibit their talent. I have followed the previous seasons of the show religiously and I’m well aware of the kind of talent that the show has thrown up over the years. The show beautifully captures their journey from starting off as raw, unpolished diamonds towards emerging as well-rounded, professional singers. I’m really looking forward to judging the show and will certainly try to mentor the contestants of this season in the best possible manner.”
The hunt for the country's best singers has spanned across 14 cities including Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Patna, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Dehradun, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Indore, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Keep reading this space to know more about Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, coming soon on Zee TV!
