~An initiative to empower women who aspire to start their own business gets acclaimed~

Mumbai, February 2016 – Inorbit Malls is proud to announce that the Inorbit Pink Power Campaign, won at the Effie 2015 awards. It was the only brand to be awarded in the category of corporate reputation. Inorbit has been the first mall in the shopping centre category to bag this coveted award.

 Inorbit Pink power is an initiative to empower women who aspire to start their own business. The brand launched the initiative on Women’s Day, asking people to nominate the women in their lives who they thought had a winning business idea.

The big prize at the end of the this ongoing initiative being valuable retail space free of Cost for 6 months at the mall, access to training and consultation with business experts and also the chance to exhibit products at the various fun fairs, flea markets and events that Inorbit hosts.

The initiative was launched only in Mumbai (two malls) and executed across print, radio and digital. A special, interactive microsite was created where women could participate as well as view other entries. Inorbit received 748 entries in just 3 weeks, from which 130 women were shortlisted. These women were interviewed and their business ideas were assessed to select the final six winners.

Effie Worldwide stands for effectiveness in marketing communications, spotlighting marketing ideas that work and encouraging thoughtful dialogue about the drivers of marketing effectiveness.  The Effie network works with some of the top research and media organizations worldwide to bring its audience relevant and first-class insights into effective marketing strategy.

Inorbit plans to run this initiative nationally in 2016 across all their malls present in Cyberabad, Pune, Bengaluru and Vadodara.
