The 61st Britannia Filmfare Awards 2016 winners this year include Ranveer Singh for Best Actor in Male for his movie Bajirao Mastani and Deepika Padukone for Best Actor in Female for her amazing act in Piku.
On receiving the award Deepika delivered an Emotional Speech that moved everyone to tears. She read out an emotional letter written by her father Prakash Padukone to Deepika and her little sister Anisha.
Deepika won the award for her movie piku which was based on a daughter-father relationship played by Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan respectively which she related to her speech.
Deepika Padukone holding the black trophy was already in tears by the time she finished the speech the audience too was Suprised of the adorable relationship she shares with her father.
Ranveer Singh who won the Filmfare Best Actor Award for Bajirao Mastani, also supported her lady love by giving her a standing ovation.
The Best Movie was won by Bajirao Mastani itself and the Best Director award was taken by the Movie director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
On January 15 the Filmfare Awards 2016 was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Mumbai.It was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Kapil Sharma. Filmfare Awards 2016 witnessed some Awosome performances by Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kriti Sanon and several other stars.
It was one of those very few occasions when audience were allowed inside at the awards show only if they had a ticket or a pass. Majority of us have not seen the filmfare show live.
