Award has been conferred at the Bangalore INDIA BIO 2016, organized by the Department of IT, BT and S&T - Government of Karnataka
Chennai/Bangalore – February 11th, 2016 – Ecron Acunova, a subsidiary of TAKE Solutions, was bestowed with the ‘Bio Excellence Award - Bioservices Category’ at the Bangalore INDIA BIO 2016, India’s leading Biotech Event. The prestigious event is organized by the Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology - Government of Karnataka, in association with Vision Group on Biotechnology (an apex advisory body headed by Biocon MD, Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw with private and public sector members). The Bio-Excellence awardees are selected by a jury of industry experts, constituted by the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE), the trade body of the Biotechnology sector.
EcronAcunova (EA) was presented the award by Mr. K. J. George, Cabinet Minister, Karnataka, in recognition of its outstanding contribution and pioneering work in the field of Biotechnology. The ceremony was held in the presence of an august gathering of over 600 delegates; consisting of Biotech Industry Captains, Policy Makers and the Scientific Fraternity and representatives from other participating companies like Biocon, Metahelix Life Sciences and Jubiliant Biosys.
Dr. D.A. Prasanna, Founder, Ecron Acunova and Mr. Srinivasan H.R., Vice Chairman and Managing Director, TAKE Solutions received the honour on behalf of the company.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Srinivasan H.R. said, “It is indeed a moment of great joy to receive this award, the first one after we welcomed Ecron Acunova to the TAKE family. This award stands testimony to EA’s significant expertise in the dynamic vistas of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device R&D including the growth areas of Biosimilars, Regenerative Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging Agents.” He further added, “We are happy to receive this recognition at such a prestigious industry platform and are excited by the prospect of carrying this momentum on our way forward.”
