Chef Kunal who is the new brand ambassador of Saffola Masala Oats, is passionate about product innovation and is constantly identifying the emerging trends and consumers’ ever changing lifestyles to develop new, delightful and nutritious recipes with quality ingredients. He played a pivotal role in creating the new Italian and Chinese flavors for Saffola.


“I have learnt it the hard way that there is no short cut to healthy being. Working long hours, living on colas and coffee, I have been through the vicious cycle of unhealthy eating and poor lifestyle choices. But I realised that small alterations to food habits coupled with discipline in personal time is all that is rquired to stay fit. Eating healthy can be fun too, and I want youngsters around the country to learn from my experiences. I am fit, more positive and can do more, all because I made a positive choice. #FitFoodie says it all, one can be a foodie, enjoy different cuisines and tastes, and yet stay fit. ” Says Chef Kunal Kapur.


Adding further, Kunal states: “I strongly believe to become a fit foodie, one needs to use alternatives in food rather than starve himself in the name of dieting. 80% of your fitness is through food and the remaining 20% through a simple exercise regime is what it takes to be there.




Chef Kunal Kapur is also the brand ambassador for Avanza Avocado in India and played a significant role in promoting and creating awareness of the super fruit in the country.

Chef Kunal will continue his journey of creating finger-licking delicacies and at the same time, strengthening the #FitFoodie culture. He will be leading the Saffola Fit Foodie expert panel to create some amazing and innovative recipes.



Chef Kunal Kapur is a well-recognized Indian celebrity chef, restaurateur, and media personality known for his food-focused television shows, cookbook and a popular choice when hosting high dignitary events in the country. 

Chef Kunal is well recognized by the Ministry of India and was given an opportunity to present Satvik cuisine to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Ms. Merkel, in Bangalore. On another occasion, he has also cooked for the 42 First Ladies on the India Africa Summit. 
Kunal is Chef Consultant to The Leela Group, and has also authored a book – ‘A Chef in Every Home’ which is a complete family cookbook.

In a recent entrepreneurial move, he has recently launched his new restaurant in Dubai – Patiala by Kunal Kapur which is located at Souk Al Bahar at Dubai Mall. The restaurant serves old world charm with rare Indian Classics and exciting new world modern Indian food.  Named after the princely state in Punjab, Patiala, the restaurant serves Pan Indian dishes with immaculate presentation and pitch-perfect spicing. 

Chef Kunal has an in-depth understanding of regional Indian cuisine having learnt it from the best in the industry early in his career.And he has taken his early training a step further with a leaning towards product innovation and creating newer experiences for food lovers. 

Born and brought up in New Delhi Chef Kunal Kapurpursued his education in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh. He has worked with leading hotel chains like the Taj Group of Hotels and The Leela Group. Besides this, Chef Kunal is passionate about– Food, Automobiles, Technology, Photography, Travel and History.

Television Shows: 
Kunal has played host in many television shows such as Masterchef India and Junior Masterchef India. He was invited to judge the semi finale of Masterchef America with Chef Gordon Ramsey. Notably, Vir Sanghvi had called him “The real star of Masterchef India”. His most recent shows are My Yellow Table (NDTV Good Times) and Pickle Nation ( Living Foodz Channel). Chef Kunal has also filmed two seasons of the Travel & Food show in the US called ‘The Foodie comes to America’.

Winner of several culinary & television awards, Kunal has been recognized amongst the Best Chefs in India by India Today. He has also been honored with Dr. S. Radhakrishnan National Media network award. The Indian Television Academy awarded him for the Best Jury/ Anchor on television for Junior Masterchef India. Kunal is the proud recipient of the prestigious ‘Sir Edmund Hillary Fellowship 2012’ from the Government of New Zealand in the field of Food & Beverage.
