NOIDA, 27 Jan 2016: Jaypee Hospital, a Multi Super Speciality Hospital in Sector 128 Noida, organised health awareness talk on Heart & Chest ailment, for people of Delhi NCR. The talk was aimed to educate the people on the precautions and first aid treatment to be given for sudden Cardiac and Asthma arrests.
Jaypee Hospital’s Director of Cardiology department, Dr. Gunjan Kapoor said “Indians are genetically prone to heart attacks and nowadays it’s commonly seen in younger generation with age group of less than 40 years. She also briefed that 60% of the people do not even survive their first heart attacks mainly due their lifestyle habits like smoking, diabetics, and hypertension or due family history.
Urbanisation and work related stress have become a major reason behind the increased number of coronary diseases and premature heart attacks in India, Dr. Gunjan added”.
Highlighting, the growing incidence of Asthma, Dr. Gyanendra Agarwal Executive Consultant of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine department at Jaypee Hospital said, “It is highly prevalent in our country and around 2.4% of our population is suffering with Asthma problem. It is commonly seen in people of all age groups and nearly 10 crore people is affected with such problems. Doctor also informed the best way to treat the asthma problem is use of inhalers, which has no side effects on human body”.
